The mission of the Georgetown ISD Education Foundation is to engage the community in financial support of a learning environment where innovation, customized academic opportunities, and individual success are attainable for all GISD students.
The 2022 State of the District is a can't-miss event highlighting student achievement and an annual address from Superintendent Fred Brent.
Showcases feature the work of students and staff district-wide in the areas of academics, career and technical education and fine arts, including innovative projects and programs that were funded with grants from the Georgetown ISD Education Foundation. Interact with students from all grade levels, experience what students are learning in Georgetown ISD through visual showcases and performances, listen to TED-Talk style presentations and enjoy small bites throughout the event. Dr. Brent will share his state of the district address which will highlight advancements in teaching and learning and a map for the future.
Our only fundraiser, this fun event brings the community together around a common important theme: education.
This is why we are here. We give out thousands of dollars of grants to teachers who are fostering an innovative, creative and engaging learning environment for students.
As a way of fostering community interest in our schools, we host an annual State of the District event, where the community can see what our students and teachers are up to and can learn about exciting future plans.
Send us a message with any questions or concerns, and we'll get back to you with answers as soon as we can.
